Time Trial No. 4

We had nine hardy wheelers out for yesterday’s Club Time Trial in conditions which belied the season. With a southerly gale and misty rain, Paschal O'Shea's strong performance brought his first TT win but not without a determined challenge from Eleanor Rooney who rolled in just 18 seconds later to take second place. Eamon Tunney, who has been consistently strong over the TT season, completed the podium in third place.

Of course there is always one, and last night we had none other than Mrs. B. Wiggins who pushed for a world record and almost made it completing the 20Km course in a lickety split time of 26:20 however after allegations of foul play, Mrs. Wiggins was disqualified for breach of Rule 2.1(xii) of the ITU Competition Rules 2014.

Well done to all who raced in very difficult conditions. Next TT will be on Wednesday next at 6:30pm.
