Time Trial No. 2

Three four person teams and one two man team raced last nights time trial in windy but dry conditions. The strong wind on the return leg saw most times a little slower than the last TT however Stevie put in a strong performance to take six minutes off his last time for the course. It was great also to see new members and first time time trialers out. The next Time Trial will be an individual TT on the 21k course on 1st June - excellent training for GloHealth Mullaghmore Triathlon. All participants will be required to have MSC Tri Club and Triathlon Ireland membership. Aidan Ferguson & Canice Nicholas - 36:41 Gerry Cleary, Gerry McManus, Gabriel Timoney & Stevie Macglinchey - 39:48 Karol M

Time Trial No. 1

The rain stayed away for the first MSC Tri Team Time Trial last night and while some appeared fatigued after the An Post Cycle on Sunday, others seemed invigorated by the weekend’s exertions. Champions on the night were Canice and Eamon who forged ahead to win in a time of 38:28. The all ladies team of Pamela and Eleanor took second place, an excellent performance after doing the 100km and 160km An Post on Sunday. The cycle of the night came from Thomas and Frank taking third place, excellent result for a team with a combined age of 117! There were a few anomalies in the team makeup on the night which we hope will be remedied for the next TT on 18th May. Canice Nicholas & Eamon Tunney 38
