Welcome to the website of MSC Tri Triathlon Club. We are a small club, based in Mullaghmore, Co.
Sligo, dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of the sport of Triathlon. We are always welcoming to new members and cater for all
abilities, from first timers to experienced Ironman competitors. Although we all like to do our best, the emphasis of our club is on
mutual encouragement and support. Whether
you are contemplating giving Triathlon a go or are an experienced
competitor who would like to join up with some like-minded souls for

Congratulations to all that took part in a most successful first event of the season - a combined training event with Sligo City Tri Club on Sunday 7th March. A great crown of 48 took part in this Duathlon, 2.5k run / 22k cycle / 2.5k run in the spring sunshine. First home was Neil Walton followed by Colm Casey, both from Sligo City Club. date for 2010 Mullaghmore Triathlon, once again part of the Triathlon
Ireland National Series of races is confirmed as Saturday 19th June.
It will open for entry circa 6th April 2010 via
www.activeeurope.com and as the event is usually vastly oversubscribed please keep checking in to avoid disappointment. takes place on Easter Monday

is a recession proof €10, with entry on the day being €12. The route will go from Carney Village, through the beautiful Lisadell Estate, along the sea front, and back to Carney Village. All who have taken part over the last couple of years will be keen to return, and will hopefully bring along a few friends. Afterwards there will be the usual afters in the Oxfield Sports Centre. The runners will start at 12 noon, with walkers starting at 11:30 and kids races taking place in advance of both at 11am. are now taking memberships for 2010. To join, please first join
Triathlon Ireland as this is necessary for insurance purposes. If you
want an application form please email queries@msctri.com and we'll send
a form out to you. Club membership is €30 this year.
The Club are
going to have a group cycle training session on the first Sunday of
each month at 9am, dates being: February 7th, March14th, April 4th, May
2nd, June 6th, July 4th and August 1st. Open Water Swim Sessions will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5.30-6pm from the Sailing Club. This will be starting at the end of April. The club will be placing two buoys at 400m and 800m from the sailing club Stephen Tealing Lynch the Limerick Tri head coach is going to be the MSC Tri On-Line coach for the season. There are 10 places available for MSC club members for his specialised coaching. The cost is €15 a month. This fee covers a monthly personalised programme (swim, bike and run sessions) which will result in a focused, good use of training time season.
